Yearling Blue Tongue Skinks

By January 4, 2019No Comments

This is one of our yearling Blue Tongue Skinks (Tiliqua gigas evanescens). This particular locals is from Merauke, a regency in Papua Province, Indonesia. Merauke covers an area of 44,071 km2. We have a few of these beautiful animals growing up here at DHR. Hopefully we’ll have the opportunity to pair these animals in the coming seasons.

Blue Tongues have become more popular is the last few years. We’ve only started keeping this species recently, and must admit we regret not doing it sooner.  They’re easy to care for, have relatively simple diet.
