We never seem to take enough pictures of our Brazilian Rainbow Boas (Epicrates cenchria cenchria). This is one of our adult males.
This species has a reputation of being more challenging to keep because of their humidity requirements. In reality, the challenge may very well be more about understanding how to maintain humidity levels in the enclosure itself.
With proper planning, a good understanding of ventilation, and a substrate that holds humidity well (Coca mulch, Peat moss, Sphagnum moss), this species is very rewarding to keep.
