Clutch of Niger Uromastyx eggs
The other day we were very pleased to find a clutch of Niger Uromastyx eggs! Our female Nigerian Uromastyx (Uromastyx geyri) has been looking for a place to lay her eggs for a few days now, digging all around her enclosure.
We were very pleased to see that she accepted the egg box we provided her. 🙂
The brown eggs are infertile eggs. We include them in our photos for record keeping, however they are removed before placing the eggs in the incubator. Good record keeping is an important part of successful husbandry.

Its that time of year again!
It’s that time of year again! Our Nigerian Uromastyx (Uromastyx geyri) are actively courting and breeding off and on over the last two weeks. We love Uromastyx, and can’t wait to see those beautiful little babies. 🙂
