We are getting close to the point in the season where we start pairing our boas for breeding. Such as this female Solomon Island Ground Boa (Candoia paulsoni). With luck, we’ll have some beautiful paulsoni neo’s to fuss over next year. 😁🐍
This little male Solomon Isle Ground Boa (Candoia paulsoni) has been paired with a female for the last two months. If we’re lucky, we’ll have plenty of little Solomon mouths to feed in the coming months. 😆🐍
Two of our male Solomon Isle Ground Boas (Candoia paulsoni). We are fortunate enough to be working with a small group of Solomon’s in a joint venture with @imperialboids.
Years ago we had a pair of captive bred neonates that were produced by a fellow Canadian by the name of Roy Stockwell. The animals were acquired before conversion to rodents, and back then they had a reputation for being very difficult feeders.
Their reputation is largely exaggerated. With time, patience and a few tricks, our animals converted and were very rewarding to work with. #CandoiaPaulsoni #Candoia #SolomonIsleGroundBoa #DarrenHamillReptiles
