First Boa litter of the season

First Boa litter of the season. Hog Isle Boas!

This litter was produced by a first time female. It’s been a few years since we’ve produced Hog Isle Boas so we’re happy to see these awesome little worms born here again as Hog Isles have always been one of our favorites. ❤️😊

Hog Isle boa courtship on video

Hog Isle Boa courtship. It’s a few years since Hog Isle Boas (Boa constrictor imperator) have been produced here. These were among the first of the boas that we first cared for back in the day. In fact, these were among the first boas we ever produced back in the late 90’s.

Hog Isle Boas were the popular insular boas at the time. Insular boas (Caulkers, Clouded, etc.) were not easy to come by then, though Hogs were arguably the most popular. We had a pair of animals that came from adults that were from some of the original (legal) animals to be imported into the hobby by a fellow that worked at a Canadian Zoo. The natural color and variation of pure Hog Isle Boas never gets old. 🐍💕😎
