Giant Day Geckos are posted

Our Madagascan Giant Day Geckos are posted, ready for their new homes. 🙂

Madagascan Giant Day Geckos (Phelsuma grandis) are large beautiful geckos found on the island of Madagascar. Giant Day Geckos are known to live as long as 20 years in captivity.

Day Geckos make for excellent display animals, though they are not typically considered the ideal choice for beginners. They are easy to care for in terms of temperature, humidity, and diet, though they do not like to be handled. When considering a gecko from the Phelsuma group, keepers must understand that these geckos are for observation only, and should not be handled.

We have our first two Giant Day Geckos (Phelsuma grandis) looking for new homes. These two were produced from a high-red male to a crimson female, so they should turn out to be nice red animals. 🙂

Feeding on Pangea diet every other day, getting bigger by the day. Feel free to contact us should you have any questions.

Some of our Phelsuma have become quite comfortable with us opening the cage. Others are still shy. We really enjoy working with them, slowly coaxing them out of their hides for some interaction.
