A little bit of Candoia love! This adult female Solomon Island Ground Boa (Candia paulsoni) produced a huge ltter for us this year of 43 neonates.
So far, nearly half of the litter has beeen successfully switched to frozen thawed pink mice. Likely, the remainder will need a month or two more of scenting before they have been switched to rodents. 🙂 <3

Baby Solomon Island Ground Boas (Candoia paulsoni) were born here at DHR September 26th, 2020. These beautiful, robust boas are known for large litters of small babies.
Baby Solomon Island Ground boas are tiny replicas of their parents. However, they will start to change color after their first few sheds.

We are getting close to the point in the season where we start pairing our boas for breeding. Such as this female Solomon Island Ground Boa (Candoia paulsoni). With luck, we’ll have some beautiful paulsoni neo’s to fuss over next year. 😁🐍

This little male Solomon Isle Ground Boa (Candoia paulsoni) has been paired with a female for the last two months. If we’re lucky, we’ll have plenty of little Solomon mouths to feed in the coming months. 😆🐍

Although we didn’t fully cool the C. paulsoni this year, this male is currently paired-up with a red female. You never know, we may end up with some tiny Solomon babies. 😊🐍
